Senior Software Engineer
DeltaMath is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to architect, build and scale our APIs and front-end interfaces, delivering complex, high-quality software to millions of students. You will be an integral part of a small, focused product team where you will have ownership and autonomy.
About You
- Deep expertise in developing complex web applications across the stack.
- Strong experience and enjoyment building in Typescript, React, MongoDB.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with teammates.
- Love making a big impact on your team and the lives of teachers and students.
- Understand the importance of scalability when designing solutions.
- Great problem solving skills.
- Teaching or educational technology background is a plus.
- Must reside and be authorized to work in the U.S.
Your Support System
You'll report to the VP of Engineering, who leads a cross-functional product team of six engineers. You'll collaborate closely with our Founder, Product Designer, and Project Manager.

Interview Process
- First Meeting: Brief 30 minute chat with the VP Engineering to learn about each other, field questions and identify there’s a mutual fit and interest.
- Second Meeting: 2 Hour Session with a panel of ~4 team members. Bring a project you’ve built that you’re proud of—something that best showcases the quality of your work in a way relevant to DeltaMath
- Third Meeting: Review feedback, detailed conversation about what success looks like in the role.

Independent Contractor: Module Video Creator (Remote), Elementary Math
About the Role
DeltaMath owns and operates deltamath.com, one of the world's largest online math learning products, with over 8 million active student users. Our aim is to offer a just-right balance of conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and rigor on the road to mastery, all while prizing teacher/learner choice and control.
We are currently looking for an Independent Contractor to serve as a Module Video Creator for Elementary math content. The role entails making student help videos for new problem sets that are structurally and pedagogically consistent with what is currently available on DeltaMath. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a deep familiarity with video production tools, be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working effectively in a remote environment.
The expected start date is March 2026.
Most of the year, exclusive of summer (Part-time)
- Part-time work at your own pace
- You are expected to create at least 6 videos per month
- $100 per completed video
Summer 2026 (Full-time)
- Full-time work 8 hours per day for 6 weeks
- Flexible dates depending on when your summer break starts
- Expected to create at least 80-100 videos in total
- $100 per completed video
- Bonus opportunity
- If 80 videos are completed/accepted in the time period: $6,000 bonus (i.e. $14,000 total)
- Or, if 100 videos are completed/accepted in the time period: $8,000 bonus (i.e. $18,000 total)
What We Are Looking For
- Teaching experience in grades 4-6 (REQUIRED)
- Availability to work part-time March 2026 through the summer (REQUIRED)
- Availability to work full-time for 6 weeks during the summer (REQUIRED)
- Deep familiarity with video production tools
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Strong time-management, communication, and organizational skills
